Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how GalaxyPi (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use galaxypi.app, the Pi Browser app at app.galaxypi.app, and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information. You sign in with your Pi Network account. We receive your Pi user identifier (UID) and Pi username. We do not collect a password — authentication is handled by Pi Network — and we do not collect an email address.
- Activity data. In-app activity such as game scores, GPi balance and transactions, achievements, colony and faction progress, forum posts, and referrals.
- Technical data. IP address, browser/device type, and basic logs used for security, rate-limiting, and abuse prevention.
- Cookies and local storage. We use a session token (stored in a cookie or, inside Pi Browser, in your device’s local storage) to keep you signed in. See “Cookies” below.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service and your account.
- To run gameplay features, the GPi economy, leaderboards, and the community forum.
- To secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- To understand usage and improve the Service.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
We use a single authentication token to keep you logged in. On the standard website this is set as a cookie; inside the Pi Browser (which does not persist cookies) it is stored in local storage and sent with requests. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising profiling. You can clear this token at any time by signing out or clearing your browser data.
4. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on a few third parties, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Pi Network — for wallet-based authentication and any Pi payments.
- Advertising (A-ADS). We display ads that may be served by a third-party ad network. Ad providers may receive limited technical data (such as IP address and device/browser information) to serve ads.
- Hosting — the Service is hosted on third-party cloud infrastructure.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only: (a) with the service providers above as needed to operate the Service; (b) when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security; or (c) in connection with a business transfer. Public profile elements you choose to display (such as your username, level, achievements, and leaderboard standing) are visible to other users.
6. Data Retention
We retain account and activity data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account as described below.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can remove it.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
10. International Users
The Service may be operated from, and your information processed in, jurisdictions that may have different data-protection laws than your own. By using the Service you consent to this processing.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
